All Er Nuthin'

The other night Mike and I were watching Oklahoma! for, like, the fifth time together,
We are a musical family (as in the film genre not talent) Will started to sing “All Er Nothin'” to Ado Annie and I couldn’t help smiling! The lyrics reminded me of Michael’s attitude while we dated.
When I met Mike I wasn’t ready for a boyfriend, I wanted to date and
enjoy myself.
Mike wanted something a little more serious, but respected my wishes… that was until I wanted to
hold his hand.
“Nope,”
was his response, “that’s more of a boyfriend/girlfriend thing.”
I thought he had softened his stance when he kissed me a few weeks later. NOPE. I think it was some kind of phychological warfare. The very next day, I went in for a kiss and got REJECTED, I got SHUT DOWN. Mike had tried another DTR talk on me and said, “No kissing unless we are going out.”
I caved. Not even within 24 hours of our first kiss.

Yeah, he’s that good of a kisser.

With me it's all er nuthin'.
Is it all er nuthin' with you?
It cain't be "in between"
It cain't be "now and then"
No half and half romance will do!
I'm a one woman man, Home lovin' type,
All complete with slippers and pipe.
Take me like I am, er leave me be!
If you cain't give me all, give me nuthin'
And nuthin's whut you'll git from me!
All Er Nuthin, Oklahoma!

Quirk

It was bound to happen. He comes from a quirky family, after all. I caught a long-lived (ha, five months is pretty long) Caleb-quirk on film (is it still film if it’s digital?).
Caleb likes to stick his finger to/in his mouth while eating.
No idea why.
Is he testing the waters? Pondering the latest stimulus package? Critiquing Cheerios?
No clue, but I find it endearing… and kinda messy at times…
okay… all the time! : )

Here’s a great picture of recent developments.
These, my friends, are Caleb’s front teeth. Howdoyoudo!

Prospect Hill

Last Wednesday was a particularly warm day—the high was 50 and since the winter has kept us cooped up in the house for nearly three months, Caleb and I seized the warmth as an opportunity to stretch our legs.
And by “our” I mean “my.”
I charted our course to Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Prospect Hill is such an awesome name for a cemetery, in my opinion.
Those of you who know me would be surprised to know I had lived in the town of Millis for three months without visiting the cemetery. Those of you who don’t know me too well probably think I’m morbid.
My relationship with cemeteries is a love-hate.

First, and foremost they creep me out. There, I said it.
Secondly, I love genealogy. I had big plans to do cemetery indexing before Caleb was born, now it’s just a pipe dream.

Anyways, our course goes right by Richardson’s Pond. Here’s some pictures:

For such a small town Millis has a very large cemetery… of course Millis has been around since 1657,
so longevity over density, I guess.

Ever read The Spoon River Anthology?
Prospect Hill Cemetery reminds me of it.
The more I see of Millis the more I like it.
We need to see warmer days
so we can take more pictures!

Together Forever

“In the premortal realm, spirit sons and daughters knew and worshipped God as their Eternal Father and accepted His plan by which His children could obtain a physical body and gain earthly experience to progress toward perfection and ultimately realize their divine destiny as heirs of eternal life. The divine plan of happiness enables family relationships to be perpetuated beyond the grave. Sacred ordinances and covenants available in holy temples make it possible for individuals to return to the presence of God and for families to be united eternally.”

The Family:A Proclamation to the World

We invite you to watch Together Forever, a film that contains thoughts, pictures, and music centered on the eternal nature of the family. You can obtain a free copy by going to Mormon.org > Free Media, you may also purchase a copy here or borrow it from us anytime.
