Prospect Hill

Last Wednesday was a particularly warm day—the high was 50 and since the winter has kept us cooped up in the house for nearly three months, Caleb and I seized the warmth as an opportunity to stretch our legs.
And by “our” I mean “my.”
I charted our course to Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Prospect Hill is such an awesome name for a cemetery, in my opinion.
Those of you who know me would be surprised to know I had lived in the town of Millis for three months without visiting the cemetery. Those of you who don’t know me too well probably think I’m morbid.
My relationship with cemeteries is a love-hate.

First, and foremost they creep me out. There, I said it.
Secondly, I love genealogy. I had big plans to do cemetery indexing before Caleb was born, now it’s just a pipe dream.

Anyways, our course goes right by Richardson’s Pond. Here’s some pictures:

For such a small town Millis has a very large cemetery… of course Millis has been around since 1657,
so longevity over density, I guess.

Ever read The Spoon River Anthology?
Prospect Hill Cemetery reminds me of it.
The more I see of Millis the more I like it.
We need to see warmer days
so we can take more pictures!

Together Forever

“In the premortal realm, spirit sons and daughters knew and worshipped God as their Eternal Father and accepted His plan by which His children could obtain a physical body and gain earthly experience to progress toward perfection and ultimately realize their divine destiny as heirs of eternal life. The divine plan of happiness enables family relationships to be perpetuated beyond the grave. Sacred ordinances and covenants available in holy temples make it possible for individuals to return to the presence of God and for families to be united eternally.”

The Family:A Proclamation to the World

We invite you to watch Together Forever, a film that contains thoughts, pictures, and music centered on the eternal nature of the family. You can obtain a free copy by going to Mormon.org > Free Media, you may also purchase a copy here or borrow it from us anytime.
