Project Semi-annual, Spring 2012

Diverse Conference experiences captured and shared.
(Probably the easiest way to invite someone into your home for Conference without the clean-up!)

Here’s the gist:
take some pictures that reflect your Conference weekend, create an online album or blog post and share, please! Leave a comment on THIS post. Invite others to join in the fun, but REMEMBER TO tell friends to post back here so others (okay, mostly me) can enjoy.

Project Semi-annual, October 2011

Waiting in line at the library for the book sale Saturday.
Sadly they have raised their prices. : {

Marné and Jess (and Kennedy).
I pulled out my camera to get a capturing-conversation shot, but Jess has some type of sixth sense for lenses. Look at that glamorous smile!... And Marné's... sparkling.... personality! (Just kidding, I love you, Né!)

Boxes of books, books for me!

Me sneaking a piece of popcorn before it cools.
Nate taking notes.

Our new favorite General Conference game? Spot Ben! Did you see him? :)

v Caleb was pretty excited this year for Conference!

See you in April!

General Conference, Spring 2011

The General Conference packet (Nursery edition) from Sugardoodle provided entertainment for Caleb.
Right before each session he'd guess who would be conducting the meeting.
He got the Saturday Morning and Afternoon sessions right!
And it was a fun way for him to begin to learn the names of the First Presidency.

It's as close as we are ever going to get! :)

Check out the rest of the submissions

in the comment section.
And don't forget to submit your own snapshots!

Can you feel it?

The roaring boil of chicken breasts?

The scent of dough rising?

The printer buzzing out activities to occupy little fingers?

Ah, General Conference is in the air!

REMEMBER your cameras this weekend,
SPREAD the word about Project Semi-annual (especially you FB peeps since, well, you know- I can’t! In fact- be a dear and post this link on my wall- proxy FBing is the new rage!),
AND I will see you next week!

Project Semi-annual

You didn’t forget did you?
You know, our little project?
So, Blogdom, charge your camera [or load it with film (geez, 1995 called and it wants its technology back. Honey, let me upgrade jah)] because Conference is upon us and I'm dying to see those pajamas you’ll be sporting! I introduce you to
PROJECT SEMI-ANNUAL.
Here’s the gist: take some pictures that reflect your Conference weekend, create an online album or blog post and share, please! Leave a comment on THIS (click for link) post. Invite others to join in the fun, but REMEMBER to tell friends to post back here (click for link) so others (okay, mostly me) can enjoy.
It’s like Project 365... but only four days a year. Easy, right?

So grab a logo and get the word out.
Let’s make this fun!

Blogdom: General Conference edition.1

I don’t know about you, but the first thing I do when I receive a general conference edition of the Ensign magazine is review the submitted photographs. I’ve never attended Conference at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City (and probably never will), so those pictures are the closest I will ever get to that experience.
Instead of shuttling out to Utah each April and October I, like most American Latter-day Saints, watch the sessions in the comforts of my own home. A Mormon experience that often gets overshadowed by the Conference Center, but is a part of our unique culture.
So, here’s a glimpse of what a conference weekend looks like in our Mormon household, in case you were wondering.
But first, please scan through the photos of last May’s Ensign here, so you can draw a comparison.

Breakfast Caramel Rolls (recipe coming soon, promise)

I got 36 books for $11.25 at the Millis Book Sale. Caleb's library is growing.

Mike taking notes while watching the second Saturday session.

Waffle topping made from peach freezer jam.

Chicken Salad Binge of Happiness!

I would like to document our conference next April too, and would love for you to join in on the fun! Wouldn’t it be neat to have diverse Conference experiences displayed throughout all Blogdom? Probably the easiest way to invite someone into your home for Conference without the clean-up!
(Now all I need is for someone to remind me.
Would you be a dear? :) )

For more information about General Conference click here.

PS I've joined a new blog project for LDS moms. Check it out.
